The department of Animal Production is one of the oldest in the Faculty. It comprises four branches, breeding, nutrition, physiology and husbandry. The main mission of the department is to offer students academic and practical training in the field of production, and to livestock carry out research leading to improved efficiency of animal production. For this goal, the department collaborates with national, regional and international to organizations carry out research and extension projects and to provide training on a wide range of topics related to animal production. Recently, 2001, the newly established aquaculture major was put under the umbrella of the department. Students majoring in aquaculture Science in the seventh and eight semesters.
